Organic Lawn Fertilizing

We analyze your lawn’s N-P-K levels: Nitrogen (for a green lawn), Phosphorous (for healthy roots), and Potassium (for healthy growth)before adding only what it truly needs to thrive.
We use only OMRI certified organic fertilizers, including McGeary Organics of Lancaster, PA.
No bone meal or synthetic chemicals
As part of our dedication to organic lawn care, we use nitrogen, in the form of Corn Gluten, as a long-term inhibiting treatment for crabgrass in our fertilizer applications in early spring and heading into fall.

Lawn Mow/Trim/Edge/Blow

We mow lawns 3 to 3-1/2 inches in grass height unless you request otherwise. Higher grass height reduces the need for watering, protects the roots, blocks sunlight from weeds, and generally keeps grass healthier. Your lawn will be mowed weekly unless circumstances prevent it (for instance, cutting wet grass can damage it). In these cases, we always contact you to discuss the best maintenance schedule for your lawn.

Natural Weed Control

Corn gluten also provides nitrogen which encourages your lawn’s natural weed control
Throughout the Columbus, Ohio area, you can find us using a variety of natural, eco friendly, non-toxic methods including citrus oil, herbicidal soap, or old-fashioned hand-pulling for spot weed control.

Ground Aeration

Removes thumb-sized plugs from the soil – allowing the lawn to absorb more oxygen and other nutrients over the winter.
Dethatching, if required, restores the optimum level of thatch for lawn health.
Usually needed once every 4-5 years, depending on yard usage.

Fall Clean Up

Remove fallen leaves on scheduled service days between early November and early December
Clear debris from fence lines and flower beds
Reseed worn patches, if needed
Mulch application, if desired
